Snow in June – not something we factored in when we went on our summer road and camping trip to the U.S. Instead of camping in the cold we luckily got one of the last rooms in a cute and cosy hotel nearby. Crater Lake in Oregon might be the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. The contrast of the deep blue water and the blazing white snow and the serenity of the calm water are something I won’t ever forget. Seeing places like this leaves an imprint that is worth the hundreds of kilometers of driving, expensive plane tickets and freezing in the snow in nothing but a jumper and a vest.
