Real candid moments is what I am looking for at a portrait session or wedding. Although I always try to get genuine expressions and interactions with the camera from my subjects, a true candid moment is rare. A candid moment is one that isn’t born from any instructions I give clients or one that I have manipulated in any way. It is a moment that doesn’t have anything to do with me and the camera at all. Capturing something truly candid is always special to me. In this post I wanted to show you some of my favourites:
Toddlers do what they want and it’s almost impossible to get them to strike a pose which can be frustrating at times, but when I capture an adorable moment like this it’s all worth it.
I didn’t instruct this little girl and her dad to do any of this. It just happened – and it’s so cute!
This captured moment really tells a story: How busy a maid of honour is on the morning of the wedding and what getting ready really looks like.
Married for a few seconds and the joy and happiness in this couple’s faces is just priceless!
A big reassuring hug like this on the first look takes away some of the nervousness and craze of getting ready for the ceremony in time. Let’s do this!

This was a traditional muslim wedding ceremony where getting married doesn’t mean just that but also means that the daughter is leaving the house of her parents to live with her groom. It means saying goodbye to mum, dad and siblings too,
