5 good reasons to have a photo of yourself on your website
Not photogenic enough, not important enough, it’s arrogant, it doesn’t serve a purpose, it doesn’t matter, too personal? These are some of the excuses we come up with because we don’t want a photo of us on our website. To be honest with you: I didn’t want one either. But how can I convince anyone to get photos taken of themselves if I can’t even put one up of myself? It doesn’t matter if you are a photographer or an accountant: You need at least one photo of yourself on your website.

If we know there is a real person behind the website of a business we’re more likely to trust this business.
We want to know who we are interacting with. It is easier for us to establish a personal connection with someone if we know how they look like and who they are.
If your business is you, you is what makes your business stand out from all the others – because there is only one you.
4. It looks nice
Websites are nicer and more interesting if they have some nice photos on them. It’s really that simple.
A photo with you that is representative of your brand and what you’re selling is also a great opportunity to show potential clients what you do without using words. A photo of you in context with what you do is an easy way to market your product from the very first moment someone clicks at your website.
